February 10, 1947 summary of total funds (apparently allocated funds) for the “X” or experimental models of USAAF gliders is as follows. You will notice these figures do not necessarily match quoted total costs listed under the description of each glider. Those figures more truly represent the total cost paid to the particular contractor for the project and include the costs for production parts, contract cancellation costs, etc.

The XTG glider costs do not include the cost of acquiring the appropriated soaring gliders purchased from the owners. Costs cover only the contracted models and presumably cover the cost of the stress test and flight test articles.
