Our dedicated research team is here to assist our members with any questions they may have. Comprising accomplished authors and researchers, our team delves beyond the surface, providing families with in-depth familyinformation that covers mission details, unit information, documents, reports, and more for each record. We hold extensive historical files on Troop Carrier Units sourced from the National Archives, Maxwell AFB U.S. Air Force Historical Research Agency, Carlisle Barracks library, presidential libraries, and colleges. We value our relationship with families as a true partnership.

94TH FLYING TRAINING SQUADRON (94th FTS) USAFA:

Our members are an integral part of an organization affiliated with the 94th FTS. The 94th FTS is the only Air Force unit dedicated to glider training for cadets. We collaborate to connect their mission with their WWII heritage, honoring the 94th Troop Carrier Squadron, one of the four squadrons of the 439th TC Group, which flew glider missions in Normandy, Southern France, Holland, Bastogne, and the invasion of Germany. Every May, during the G Wings Ceremony, we present the G is for Guts Award, Members also have the opportunity to engage with the Officers and Cadets at our symposiums allowing our members to have a unique connection with the 94th FTS.

Members of our Association enjoy free admission to the Silent Wings Museum, discounts at the gift shop, and the satisfaction of knowing that 50% of membership dues support the museum, as well as providing the museum with all our research and family contacts. SCHOLARSHIPS:

Each spring, we award scholarships to high school seniors and college freshmen and sophomores based on essays. These scholarships foster a deeper appreciation for history while supporting educational goals. Explore Opportunities If you have a senior, freshman or sophomore in your family or know of others who do please encourage them to apply for this scholarship in the Spring.

As a member you may join us as a listener every second Tuesday of the month through Zoom as our Executive Council meets. All members are welcome to attend, offering a valuable opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Council and the inner workings of the Association. If you want to comment or bring up a topic please send an email to Joan Abrahamsen abrahamsen556@msn.com a few days befor the meeting so it can be added to the agenda.
