RECLAMATION




The gliders pictured here were just a few of those used in the invasion of Holland in September 1944, one of the major Troop Carrier missions. 21 October 1944
Note the Normandy invation strips on one of the gliders. Obviously not all the gliders had their stipes removed from the top of the wings as ordered. One glider has had the cockpit removed.

The gliders of the 9th Troop Carrier Command pictured here were just a few of those used in the invasion of Holland in Sept 1944. These glider will be reclaimed and repaired by skilled engineers for future use by the 9th troop Carrier Command. 21 October 1944. 21 October 1944
